15 Premier League players Leeds United could sign on loan including Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City starlets

This summer, Leeds United will try to bolster Daniel Farke’s squad by making use of the loan market.

Last week, Leeds United signed Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth on a loan, making him their first summer acquisition. It is hoped that the midfielder, who spent the latter part of last season on loan at Southampton, will be able to get the Whites over the finish line when it counts this time.

Rothwell isn’t anticipated to be Leeds’ final summer loan addition, though, as the team hopes to bolster Daniel Farke’s team with a number of new players. Loan signings provide the Whites with an affordable option to bolster their roster with quality players in case they are unable to spend as much money as they would want this summer.

In light of this, we’ve looked at 15 Premier League players Leeds might be able to sign this summer on a loan.

Dobbin made the move from Everton to Aston Villa last month but it remains to be seen whether he will be a part of Unai Emery's first-team plans. Leeds need a winger and he might just benefit from a season in the Championship should he find himself struggling for minutes.

    1. Lewis Dobbin (Aston Villa)

Dobbin moved to Aston Villa from Everton last month, but it’s unclear if Unai Emery would use him in the starting lineup. Leeds could use a winger, and if he can’t get enough playing time, a season in the Championship would be beneficial.

The full-back wasn't a part of Enzo Maresca's plans last season and was allowed to join Sheffield United and Middlesbrough on loan. Whether he will feature in Steve Cooper's plans remains to be seen but if he doesn't, he could well be on the move once more.

    2. Luke Thomas (Leicester City)

Due to his lack of involvement in Enzo Maresca’s plans for the previous campaign, the full-back was permitted to go on loan to Middlesbrough and Sheffield United. It’s unclear whether he will be included in Steve Cooper’s plans, but if not, he may be moving again.

Although Leeds hopes to add a lot of new players to Daniel Farke’s roster this summer, Rothwell isn’t anticipated to be the club’s final loan acquisition. Since the Whites might not have as much money to invest this summer, loan signings provide an affordable option to bolster the team’s calibre.

We’ve looked at 15 Premier League players that Leeds may realistically sign on loan this summer in light of that.

Dobbin made the move from Everton to Aston Villa last month but it remains to be seen whether he will be a part of Unai Emery's first-team plans. Leeds need a winger and he might just benefit from a season in the Championship should he find himself struggling for minutes.

The attacking midfielder enjoyed two loan spells last season, joining Port Vale before stepping up to the Championship with Plymouth Argyle. Devine looks destined for another loan to the second tier this season and wherever he ends up he'll be determined to shine.

    3. Alfie Devine (Tottenham Hotspur)

The attacking midfielder played in two loan stints with Port Vale last season before moving up to Plymouth Argyle in the Championship. Devine appears destined to spend another season on loan in the lower leagues, and no matter where he ends up, he will be driven to succeed.

Leeds have already been linked with interest in Gilchrist, but they aren't the only ones interested with reports of loan move away from Stamford Bridge looking likely. The versatile defender made 11 Premier League appearances last season but could pursue regular game time elsewhere in order to take the next step in his career.

    4. Alfie Gilchrist (Chelsea)

Leeds have already been linked with interest in Gilchrist, but they aren’t the only ones interested with reports of loan move away from Stamford Bridge looking likely. The versatile defender made 11 Premier League appearances last season but could pursue regular game time elsewhere in order to take the next step in his career.

Morton spent last season on loan with Hull City and played a key role in the middle of the park for the Tigers, who just missed out on a play-off place. The England U21 international will be looking to make the next step this season and if he can't force his way into Arne Slot's thoughts, another loan move could be on the cards.

    5. Tyler Morton (Liverpool)

Morton played a pivotal role in the Tigers’ middle of the park during their loan stint with Hull City last season, where they almost missed out on a play-off spot. This season, the England U21 international wants to go farther, and if he can’t get Arne Slot to notice him, a loan transfer might be in the works.

Fraser still has a year left to run on his contract at Newcastle United but with opportunities appearing limited, he is likely to be on the move once more this summer. He would be able to provide a young Leeds side with vital experience should the Whites make a move.

    6. Ryan Fraser (Newcastle United)

Fraser has one more year on his Newcastle United deal, but given the lack of opportunities, it seems probable that he will be moving again this summer. Should the Whites decide to move forward, he may offer invaluable experience to a youthful Leeds team.

    3. Alfie Devine (Tottenham Hotspur)

    4. Alfie Gilchrist (Chelsea)

Gilchrist has already been linked to Leeds, but reports of a loan move away from Stamford Bridge are imminent, so Leeds is not the only team showing interest in the player. The adaptable defender played in 11 Premier League games the previous season, but he may look to advance in his career by pursuing consistent playing time abroad.

Morton spent last season on loan with Hull City and played a key role in the middle of the park for the Tigers, who just missed out on a play-off place. The England U21 international will be looking to make the next step this season and if he can't force his way into Arne Slot's thoughts, another loan move could be on the cards.
