The summer window of Daniel Farke is about to expire in less than a week, and he still needs people to join his side.
The club needs to be ready for any scenario because there is a persistent concern that they may still be forced into sales before August 30.

Willy Gnonto’s status at the team was updated early this week by LeedsLive, following his contentious attempt to leave the team in the summer of last year.
They show that the winger is not anticipated to be sold because he has performed admirably over the last few months following the Wembley setback:
United sources assert that Gnonto has been a model professional ever since. Despite the confirmation of another Championship season and this extended summer transfer window, Gnonto has not campaigned for a move from Elland Road.
There are eleven days left in the transfer window, and United fully intends to keep their 20-year-old attacker. Club insiders say that no transfer requests have been made. Gnonto has emerged as the team’s main goal threat in a summer that has seen the departure of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville (almost).

Leeds need to offer new contract to Gnonto ASAP after Farke comments
Farke spoke with the media before Brighton’s match with West Brom, primarily on Georginio Rutter’s activated release clause and eventual transfer to Brighton.
He mentioned in that (via LeedsLive) the player contracts and the steps the club needs to do going forward to solidify their position on key players:
“I don’t talk about other sentences. This kind of condition was present in almost every contract, which made the situation a year ago quite challenging. Relegation fights can put pressure on people, therefore I don’t want to point the finger at anyone from the past. We’ll just continue to maintain control over the contract going forward.
“Quality players don’t come if it means they have to come with a condition in place. This is not what we want to happen again. This becomes less and less of an issue as more contracts expire or are terminated and as new ones are signed.
Leeds should therefore immediately resume contract negotiations with the Italian after going dangerously close to signing him in January.
Gnonto is now the star player Leeds needs to hang onto, and in order to accomplish so, they need a new deal that both guarantees his long-term services here and shields them against calls from other teams.
