Arsenal were offered chance to sign ‘world class’ free agent at the weekend

Before Arsenal defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in their North London derby, they had a lot of problems to deal with. Before the game, it was speculated that Arsenal could need to enter the free agent market to get a midfield player. Now, we can exclusively disclose that they were approached about signing Adrian Rabiot.

    Arsenal offered Adrien Rabiot

TBR Football has learnt that Adrien Rabiot’s representation made approaches to Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Aston Villa over the weekend before to further negotiations with Marseille.

No Premier League teams from England responded to Rabiot’s team’s enquiries about who might be open to a late offer and who they knew had room.

After negotiations that included conversations with Roberto De Zerbi, a deal was concluded late on Sunday. The Frenchman, who Football Italia has called “world class,” was informed that Marseille required a decision by Monday.

According to reports, De Zerbi’s discussions were crucial because Marseille believes Rabiot will enable them to pose a real threat in Ligue 1.

Arsenal should sign a Martin Odegaard backup

Given that the only other player with a comparable profile to Odegaard is 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri, Arsenal is a touch weak in the offensive midfield role.

So, they should explore bringing in a playmaker in the Janaury transfer window, coupled with a centre-forward

What Arsenal are doing with throw-ins this season which is different to every other Premier League club

On Sunday, Arsenal manoeuvred their way to victory in the north London derby once more.In addition to guaranteeing that Mikel Arteta won back-to-back games against Spurs in N17 following last season’s 3-2 triumph, Gabriel Magalhaes’ massive header in the 64th minute gave the Gunners all three points.Despite Arsenal’s clear strength at the corner, another dead ball scenario on Sunday generated discussion.

What Arsenal are doing with throw-ins

Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour spotted something rather unusual that Arsenal was doing when it came to returning the ball into play against Tottenham.
Speaking live on Sky Sports during Sunday’s North London derby, he said, “It was noticeable that Arsenal won their first corner of the game with a quick throw.”
One of the more absurd statistics provided before the game indicates that 53% of Arsenal’s attacking throw-ins this season have helped to break the line. It is significantly higher when compared to the other sides.

It’s no secret that Arsenal, led by Declan Rice, has become masters at scoring from crosses under Nicolas Jover. Last season, the team impressively scored 16 goals from corners in the Premier League.

It’s intriguing to note, though, because Arteta has made it apparent that he wants to ensure that throw-ins are utilised to their maximum potential.

The Spaniard is paying attention to both small victories and the wider picture, which may prove to be significant in May.

    Mikel Arteta will be relieved

With Rice and Martin Odegaard missing due to injury, Arteta acknowledged that he had trouble sleeping, so the 42-year-old will undoubtedly be happy to have picked up three vital points against Tottenham despite playing with a significantly diminished squad.

Given how merciless Manchester City was at the end of the previous season, Arsenal supporters are all too aware that the Gunners could not afford to lose any more ground following the disappointing 1-1 draw against Brighton.

With any luck, Odegaard can go back into action quickly and assist Arsenal in making a strong run for the Premier League title this season.
