Heart of Midlothian secured an easy victory bonus thanks to Yan Dhanda’s late header against Dinamo Minsk.

The midfielder nodded home from close range to stop the dreadful losing streak and kick-start the Conference League campaign with a win in Azerbaijan.

Hearts also earned a win bonus from UEFA, which is available in every league phase of the redesigned Conference League structure, with their 2-1 triumph.

Before receiving any additional payments for wins or draws, Hearts have already pocketed €3.17m (£2.66m) for their league phase participation.

However, after defeating Dinamo Minsk, they will now get an additional €400k (£335k).

In the Conference League’s league phase, clubs that draw receive €133k (£112k); those who lose forfeit any UEFA bonus money.

Hearts will be guaranteed a price for their final placing in the league phase, regardless of where they finish, with the charge increasing for every slot higher in the table, in addition to the payments made thus far.

At least €28k (£23.5k) will be given to each club; however, that amount will rise by an additional €28k (£23.5k) for each club that places higher than 36th.

Clubs who finish first through eighth will receive an additional €400k (£336k), and those that finish ninth through sixteenth will receive €200k (£168k) in compensation.

Should a club advance to the knockout round play-offs, they will receive €200k (£168k), €800k in the semi-final, €1.3m in the quarter-final, €2.5m in the semi-final, and €4m in the final.

The Conference League champions will get €3 million (£2.52 million).
