Latest Adidas reveal is huge news for Leeds United, 49ers have big plans ahead

Latest Adidas reveal is huge news for Leeds United, 49ers have big plans ahead

Big producers of sports apparel, Adidas, are thinking of elevating Leeds United to “elite” status in an effort to retain the team past the present five-year agreement, which ends next summer.

The 49ers are continuously trying to make movements behind the scenes to make the Whites’ goal of returning to the Premier League a reality, a goal they have as soon as feasible.

The understanding of Leeds’s financial and commercial potential is another factor driving Leeds to enter the Premier League, as highlighted by the clothing manufacturer Adidas. This pressure comes from the fans as well.

Adidas and Leeds are currently collaborating to grow the number of “elite” clubs in 25/26, and a recent update from Footy Headlines provides a significant insight into this cooperation.

Leeds from the Championship is one of the other clubs being considered for similar treatment, but six clubs are assured a spot in that top division starting in the next season.

Benefits of Adidas’ “elite” treatment include only unique kits, as opposed to templates from past seasons, along with a long-sleeve away kit option and a third jersey with the brand’s recognisable trefoil emblem.

The aforementioned information implies that Adidas plans to retain Leeds past the present contract’s expiration in 2025.

49ers have big plans for Leeds, and Adidas have just said why

Off-field events strongly imply that the 49ers are bent on bringing Leeds to the Premier League, in case it wasn’t already obvious.

But Adidas’ most recent signals that the Whites will be moving up to a more lucrative contract with the manufacturing company only serve to reinforce the notion that Leeds is a very powerful commercial force.

Leeds may decide to pursue other opportunities, so this does not guarantee that the team will stick with Adidas. However, if Adidas is willing to compare Leeds to teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Manchester United, then that speaks volumes about the team’s potential.

Only if Leeds are genuinely in the Premier League come next season will that be a truly strong case, but if Adidas recognises the chance, the 49ers most likely will be as well.
