Cardiff City star says ‘it’s pretty obvious what we want’ as Omer Riza gives Robertson update

Cardiff City star says ‘it’s pretty obvious what we want’ as Omer Riza gives Robertson update

Cardiff City scored two goals late on to seal the points against Norwich City

Alex Robertson was “precautionary” in missing Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Norwich City, according to Cardiff City manager Omer Riza.

Despite being left out of the team for the Canaries’ visit, interim manager Riza has allayed concerns about a severe situation involving the midfielder, who has been outstanding since moving to South Wales in the summer.

The Bluebirds are merely handling him; the 21-year-old has been experiencing some soreness this week. Riza adds that because games are coming up quickly, he needs to use the squad to alleviate the load before Wednesday night’s crucial match against Luton Town.

According to Riza, “he picked up a little tightness in his hamstring,” following the late victory. “It’s nothing major. We will keep an eye on him today and tomorrow, and

He’s played a lot of games and has previously experienced problems with that hamstring, so it’s a precaution. Five or six games have been played by him. He has travelled a great distance. He must have put a lot of effort into his legs because I believe he has run 10 or 11 km per game.

“Sio arrived, and today he was outstanding. worked so hard. He was tenacious and exuded vitality around the field. Therefore, it’s critical that we use the entire team before they’re all competent. All that has to happen is that the opportunities be presented to them at the appropriate moment.

“I need to be fair to them as long as they continue to exhibit the proper mentality and application, which they do, since I dislike it when players don’t take the pitch. Since they all deserve to play, it irritates me.

At Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon, goals from Callum Robinson and Callum O’Dowda caused raucous celebrations, and the latter was adamant that Riza should be given the chance to take

“It was a great win, I tell you what I do love a last-minute winner,” he told ITV after the match.

“Last season, I experienced the same thing, but since Riza joined the team, we’ve been excellent. For the record, it’s quite clear what the players desire.

“Seeing him fully assume responsibility for us and lead us forward would be beneficial. I think this is the best football I’ve seen us play since I’ve been here.
