For the winter transfer window, West Ham United has added Emmanuel Latte Lath of Middlesbrough to their list.

A West Ham scout was present to watch the striker play against Oxford United over the weekend, according to writer Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian was Middlesbrough’s outstanding player, helping them defeat Oxford United 6-2 with a hat-trick and an assist.

Officials from West Ham are said to have been pleased by Emmanuel Latte Lath after watching him play live at Kassam Stadium. According to Di Marzio, the 24-year-old has been named as one of the targets by the Premier League team to strengthen their assault in January.

Although he progressed through Atalanta’s junior system, he was unable to establish himself on the senior squad. The forward left the Serie A team permanently for Middlesbrough in August 2023 after going out on loan several times.

Emmanuel Latte Lath has seven goals and two assists from 16 league games this season after managing 18 goals and an assist for Michael Carrick’s team the previous season.

In the summer, his agent Matthias Veneroso expressed interest in moving him to a major league, but no agreement materialised.
