After losing 2-0 to Bristol City before the international break ended their year-long winning streak at Carrow Road, Norwich City will host Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night in an attempt to resume their winning ways at home.

Although the Canaries have had a rough season due to injuries, players have begun to return under Johannes Hoff Thorup, and their injury situation should soon be resolved.

It will be intriguing to see how both clubs line up when the squads are announced at 18:45 on Tuesday. In the meanwhile, Plymouth will be encouraged by their late draw against Watford on Friday night before their travel to East Anglia, but they also have a number of injury problems.

In light of that, the following players are expected to miss Norwich City vs. Plymouth Argyle.

Norwich City

Kellen Fisher

In Saturday’s draw with West Brom, Kellen Fisher received his fifth yellow card of the season. As a result, he will miss their match against Plymouth and serve a one-match suspension.

This season, the 18-year-old has made an impact on Norwich’s first squad, playing in seven games across all competitions, including five in the Championship, and making two starts.

Marcelino Nunez

Marcelino Nunez, a midfielder, has been sidelined since suffering an injury against Stoke City last month. Thorup did not include him in the list of players returning from injury last week, so it appears that he will be sidelined again on Tuesday.

Before his injury, the 24-year-old had started all 10 of the Canaries’ league games. Since he is a major miss, they will be hoping that he recovers soon, and based on Thorup’s recent remarks, that appears to be the case.

Josh Sargent

Josh Sargent, the star striker, will not play on Tuesday when Plymouth visits Home Park because he is expected to be sidelined until the New Year due to an injury.

The American international had started the Championship season with four goals and five assists, but now that Thorup has announced the return of players like Ashley Barnes and Onel Hernandez, he has some much-needed attacking position choices.

The assertion made by Daniel Farke that the Norwich City recruit was a “good fit” was an understatement.

The previous Norwich manager was unable to foresee the striker’s impact.

Plymouth Argyle

Conor Hazard

Conor Hazard is not available for the trip to Carrow Road, but he is getting closer to making a comeback. He was sidelined for three months due to an ankle injury sustained against Stoke City at the beginning of September.

Although the 34-year-old is a huge miss, fans will hope that he fully recovers because he is a veteran coach and gives Rooney’s team a wealth of experience from his 234 club games.

Brendan Galloway

Brendan Galloway, a central defender, has been out since an injury sustained while playing for Zimbabwe in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia in October. While he is not far from making a comeback, Tuesday’s journey to Norfolk will be too soon for him.

This season, the 28-year-old has played six games for Plymouth, five of which have been in the Championship.

Ibrahim Cissoko

Ibrahim Cissoko, a Toulouse loanee, will be sidelined until after January after suffering a hip injury during Plymouth’s loss to Cardiff City earlier this month that necessitated surgery.

It’s a major setback for Rooney because Cissoko was a vital member of the team during his first few weeks at Home Park, scoring three goals and dishing out an assist in ten Championship games. Norwich will be relieved that he won’t be playing on Tuesday.

Muhamed Tijani

After sustaining a torn hamstring at the beginning of October, Muhamed Tijani has had a less than perfect start to life at Home Park and is out till 2025.

Everyone at the club will be hoping for better fortune when the Slavia Prague loanee returns in the new year, having only played three games and 96 minutes of football since arriving in the summer.

Morgan Whittaker

It is uncertain if Morgan Whittaker will play at Carrow Road on Tuesday after missing Friday night’s match against Watford due to a toe injury, according to Plymouth Live.

Everyone at the club will be hoping that Whittaker is healthy come Tuesday night because he hasn’t been quite as significant for the Pilgrims as he was the previous season, but he is still a vital player who can create magical moments.
