Bristol Rovers disciplinary latest ahead of Birmingham City with two players on a tightrope

Bristol Rovers have two players on four yellow cards going into their trip to Birmingham City on Saturday

With the Gas nearly to the point when it resets, Bristol Rovers will be hoping that they can avoid having another player receive a ban for hitting five bookings during the forthcoming holiday season.

Taylor Moore and Kamil Conteh have recently missed games for Rovers after accruing five yellow cards, which entitles them to a one-game suspension in League One. But this only holds true for the season’s first 19 league games, of which the Gas have already played 18.

With four league bookings apiece this season, Clinton Mola and Jamie Lindsay are currently treading carefully when it comes to their disciplinary records. If the left-back or midfielder receives a yellow card against Birmingham this weekend, they will be suspended for the home match against Wrexham on Saturday, December 21.

Although it is hoped that no player will reach this stage, a player who receives up to 15 bookings in that period would be subject to a three-game suspension.

Moore and Conteh will both need to improve their disciplinary records after receiving six yellow cards already in order to avoid the punishment.

Shaq Forde is the only player with three yellow card totals, having received two during the 1-0 loss at Reading. A number of other players are on
