Mark Robins appointed Stoke manager on three-and-a-half year deal
On Saturday, the former Coventry manager will coach Plymouth Argyle in his debut match.

The former Coventry manager, who is still in charge as interim manager, will take over after Wednesday’s Championship trip to Burnley.
Following the firings of Steven Schumacher and Narcis Pelach, Robins has agreed to a three-and-a-half-year contract at the bet365 Stadium, making him the Potters’ third manager of the season.
After over eight years in command, during which he guided the team to two promotions, the Championship play-off final, and the FA Cup semi-finals, Robins was fired by Coventry in November, much to the surprise of many.
On the club website, Stoke sporting director Jon Walters stated: “We are delighted to welcome Mark, Paul, and James to the Stoke City family.” He will be supported by Paul Nevin and James Rowberry.”Mark created a successful, long-lasting entity at Coventry, and he departed the team in a far better state than when he arrived.
At Stoke City, that’s just what we hope to accomplish, and he has the background and expertise to support us in doing so.

With just six victories from 24 games, Stoke enters today’s matchup against Burnley in 18th place in the Championship standings.
Steven Schumacher was fired in August after the season began, while Narcis Pelach, a former coach of Huddersfield and Norwich, was fired last week, three months after he was hired.
