This is your second update for the January transfer deadline day, and it includes information about Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee, St Johnstone, Motherwell, and Falkirk.

    Aberdeen sign Mats Knoester

Mats Knoester is now a signed defender for Aberdeen.

When Knoester’s contract with Ferencvaros just ended, he was searching for a new team. With a one-year option, the 26-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Pittodrie.

“I had other options, but I wanted to come here when I knew Aberdeen were interested,” the Dutchman said on Aberdeen’s official website.

“I was previously aware of the club’s size and its professionalism, and I could see it right away when I got there.

“I am excited for this challenge, which will take place in a reputable league with a strong football culture.

In this stage of my career, it’s critical to find a solid location where I can demonstrate my abilities, compete for this team, and increase my chances of playing for a highly ambitious club.

Hearts – Malachi Boateng & Harry Milne

Hearts player Malachi Boateng is the target of a bid from EFL Championship underdog Plymouth Argyle.

The manager of Plymouth is Miron Muslic, who previously managed Cercle Brugge and played against the Jambos in the Europa Conference League this season.

The Home Park team is considering hiring Boateng in order to bolster their midfield. The Englishman left Crystal Palace for Hearts just in the summer.

In another place, Partick The full-back for ThistleHarry Milne is having a medical examination before joining Hearts. Covering James Penrice will be the left-back.

Hibs – Josef Bursik & Ryan Porteous

Hibs has prevented loan goalie Josef Bursik from leaving.

The Easter Road team wants to keep the Englishman in Edinburgh, despite Bristol Rovers reportedly showing interest in the Club Brugge goalkeeper.

Ryan Porteous, a defender, signed a loan deal with Preston North End from Watford, therefore Hibs won’t be getting their sell-on money this month.

A 20–25 percent share of any future transfer fee involving the Scotland defender is owed to Hibs.

Dundee’s Lyall Cameron signs pre-contract deal

In the summer, Lyall Cameron, a midfielder for Dundee, will join Rangers.

After the season, the 22-year-old’s Dens Park contract will expire, and Rangers has confirmed that he will continue to play for the Ibrox club.

Although his future has already been determined, Aberdeen was reportedly interested in stealing Cameron from Rangers.

The Daily Record claims that Rangers may have to pay almost £400k in compensation for Cameron in the summer.

As for other Dundee news, according to The Courier, there won’t be any more arrivals or departures at Dens Park tonight.

Zach Mitchell & Stephen Duke-McKenna set for St Johnstone

St Johnstone are closing in on the signings of both Zach Mitchell and Stephen Duke-McKenna. Mitchell is a centre-back from Charlton Athletic and is expected to complete a loan deal tonight, while winger Duke-McKenna is set to arrive from Harrogate on loan.

Lennon Miller of Motherwell during the team photocall on September 19, 2023 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

    Motherwell’s Lennon Miller stance

Motherwell reportedly won’t let Lennon Miller leave the club before the window ends tonight.

The top English Premier League teams have expressed interest in Miller, and the teenage midfielder is also attracting interest from Celtic.

However, Motherwell is unwilling to sell till the current season is finished.

    Linfield sign Falkirk’s Callumn Morrison

The story of Callumn Morrison Falkirk is now finished as the forward has signed a contract with Linfield of Northern Ireland.

Earlier this month, Morrison submitted a request for transfer. He made 156 appearances with the Bairns, scoring 64 goals and dishing out 24 assists.
