Neil Redfearn responds when asked about Patrick Bamford’s lack of Leeds United game time as star left on bench again

The feel-good factor at Leeds United is as high as it has been all season at the moment after a third win in a row on Wednesday night, as The Whites cruised past Luton Town to win 3-0. Goals from Sam Byram, Joel Piroe and Dan James saw Leeds return to the top of the Championship table after Leeds slipped to fourth position on Tuesday night, thanks to wins for Sheffield United and Burnley.

Luton never really looked as if they were going to score aside from Pascal Struijk’s amazing goal-line clearance to prevent Victor Moses. Leeds were on fire, dominating possession, the tempo and three points.

Neil Redfearn responds when asked about Patrick Bamford

Although Leeds has won their last three games against QPR, Swansea, and Luton, former England player Bamford has not played in any of those games.Daniel Farke still ignores his seasoned striker.

Neil Redfearn, the former manager of Leeds, was questioned about whether he believes Farke is making the correct choice in benching Bamford. “You can hardly question the German boss right now,” he replied.

You’ll need to question them about why he hasn’t brought them on or why he isn’t receiving the minutes. However, you cannot criticise Daniel’s actions. If we are focussing on a single player who hasn’t played, we are truly being picky.

Redfearn told BBC Radio Leeds on Wednesday, “The vast majority of decisions have been spot on, got the subs right tonight, rested players when he gets the opportunity, and the subs haven’t diluted the performance.”

Patrick Bamford could be tempted by a January exit at Leeds

Leeds will exceed the halfway point with seven Championship games remaining before the January window opens. Bamford, however, has only made six appearances as a substitute and has yet to start a league game.

After Leeds was relegated, Bamford acknowledged that he wanted to depart in the summer of 2023.Given that Bamford is well-known for being one of the club’s highest earners, Carlton Palmer advises Leeds to attempt to sell him in January.

However, as of right now, it appears that Bamford won’t be utilised for the next month. In fact, he might be enticed by a trade if he doesn’t receive any additional playing time and remains on the bench.
