When Hearts fans can expect to see signing pair and how they will fit in

Hearts signed players in January. The team is already greatly influenced by Jamie McCart and Elton Kabangu. In the Jambos’ 3-2 victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday, both scored goals, and McCart, who has been a pillar at the back in his four games so far, was named man-of-the-match.

Kabangu, who has given the assault another dimension, scored his third goal for the team in three games following his prolific double to defeat Brechin City in the Scottish Cup.

Along with midfielder Sander Kartum and defender Michael Steinwender, Hearts has added both players, but neither has played yet and was not included in the team for the Killie match.

Along with midfielder Sander Kartum and defender Michael Steinwender, Hearts has added both players, but neither has played yet and was not included in the team for the Killie match.

A spot could be made for the former due to Craig Halkett’s injury, and Kartum has been brought in to inject some freshness into the midfield.

But will fans have to wait till they’re ready to feature?

When will Kartum and Steinwender get Hearts debuts?

Both of Hearts’ recent arrivals, Steinwender from Sweden and Kartum from Brann, his home in Norway, were imported from Scandinavia.

They have not yet concluded a preseason and have been in their off-seasons since their campaigns ended in November, so it will take some time for them to catch up.

Following their identification by Jamestown Analytics, manager Neil Critchley is eager to have the pair on his team, but he is aware that he must exercise patience with them.

“Hopefully, we’ll see them sooner rather than later. They’re training, but their seasons ended at the end of November or early December, so they’re at different stages of where they are physically,” he said.

After their off-season, it will be similar to our return to pre-season.

They’re starting their preseason again, so we need to make sure we attempt to bring them back up to speed as quickly as possible while also keeping them safe because we don’t want them to break down.

“We need to strike the correct balance between training and getting them up to speed because we all want to see them on the field as soon as possible after they haven’t trained for four or six weeks.”

How Hearts signings will fit into the team

Although there is still more work to be done, Kabangu has already strengthened the Hearts attack and a rapport with James Wilson appears to be developing.

According to Critchley, Kartum can also contribute to the team’s development as an offensive threat.

“To be honest with you, I think it’s a work in progress,” Critchley said to the Edinburgh News. This is the first time that Elton and James have performed together, and despite their threat, you can still tell that they haven’t done so in the past.

“Sander will help with that, with the creativity in the final third, he’ll bring balance to the top end of the pitch with him being left-footed. It’s also nice to have Shanks back, so we’ve got a little bit of competition up there. That might help moving forward.

    • “We do have a variety of options, and that’s what you want.” You want a slight variation in the player’s profile to give the opposition something to consider. You can select specific players for specific games or game moments. We believed that Musa, who entered the game on the weekend, could extend the match and take advantage of the large gaps on the field. He had two goals and almost scored.

Shanks came on and helped us keep the ball, and he gave us a presence. Importantly, he assisted us in getting up the pitch and keeping the ball up at the top end.

Every one of them is somewhat different. Now, all that needs to be done is make sure they receive instruction on the field, collaborate, identify each other’s talents, and then choose the best ones.

Lewis Neilson has returned from his loan at St Johnstone, while McCart and Steinwender are new to the defensive line, so there is additional work to be done to get the players to gel.

“Frankie and Kye were a really good partnership when I came to the club,” Critchley continued. They served as our primary center-backs, and we finished on Saturday with Jamie and Lewis, who had not even met, much less played together.

The two bad goals we gave up had little to do with individual guys; rather, it was more of a collective issue. However, it was unfortunate to see Halks go early in the game because it likely caused some disruptions. Halks and Jamie have quickly developed a strong partnership. Lewis had an opportunity when he came on, so good for him.
