With a personal terms agreement with a new club close, another Leeds United player is drawing closer to leaving.
Given that several players appear to be in talks about possible departures, it appears that a mass exodus from Elland Road is imminent this week.
After undergoing a medical today on the French side, Glen Kamara appears to be the first player out the door, with a move to Rennes almost finalized.
Talks about a deal for Wilfried Gnonto have also resumed between Everton and Leeds, and Real Betis and Junior Firpo are in the running for the defender, who is eager to rejoin his former team.
Rasmus Kristensen’s Leeds exit moves closer
Not only do the three players mentioned above appear to be on their way out, but today brought with it new information regarding Rasmus Kristensen’s future.
Kristensen was given extra time off because of his involvement at Euro 2024, and he is expected back at Thorp Arch for preseason soon.
Although Daniel Farke has been debating whether to bring him back to Leeds for the upcoming campaign, that choice might not even be necessary.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has provided an update on the news that Eintracht Frankfurt is now considering signing Kristensen this summer, which was first reported earlier today.
According to the Sky Sports Germany reporter, Kristensen is eager to move and is almost at a “verbal agreement” with Frankfurt regarding personal terms.
But Leeds wants about £12.6 million to let him go, so the two teams haven’t yet reached an agreement on a deal.
Additionally, there have been “talks and ideas about a loan,” as Frankfurt is eager to get Kristensen back together with Robin Koch, his former Leeds teammate.

Given the two years Kristensen has been with Leeds, making a profit on him would be fantastic business, considering Leeds paid £10 million to sign him in 2022.
But since a deal hasn’t been finalized yet, it seems like Frankfurt is unwilling to accept that asking price at this time.
All Leeds needs to do is make sure that the deal for next summer includes an obligation-to-buy if they want to allow him to go on loan once more.
There must be a permanent exit strategy in place for Kristensen because it is obvious that he will never be successful at Leeds.
