Uh oh: European giants plotting move to sign “outstanding” £90k-p/w Fulham “colossus”

Juventus now plotting move to sign “outstanding” £90,000-p/w Fulham player

Juventus is apparently aiming to recruit a Fulham defender whenever 2025 arrives, which may leave Marco Silva without one of his best players after losing Joao Palhinha in the summer.

    Fulham transfer news

Despite losing Palhinha during the summer transfer window, the Cottagers deserve a lot of praise for how they began the Premier League season. However, they may now suffer yet another setback as a result of their success. Fulham, who have a solid start and are currently occupying a respectable mid-table position, will be anxious to prevent a departure of their best players in the coming year.

In the meanwhile, Fulham has already been connected to players like Joyskim Dawa in an effort to strengthen their backline, so Silva will be looking to add to his team in January or the summer of next year. According to reports, the west London team contacted the 6′ 4 centre defender earlier last month as they get ready to jump ahead of both Everton and

If the Cottagers are about to lose another star player, this move might end up being crucial. Giovanni Albanese, a Serie A reporter, claims that Juventus is planning to recruit Joachim Andersen in order to strengthen Thiago Motta’s defence.

Considering that the £90,000-per-week player only recently joined Fulham during the summer transfer window, it would undoubtedly be a significant move for the defender. Juventus’ interest, though, essentially reflects how well Andersen’s debut at Craven Cottage has gone. It would be a devastating blow to lose the 28-year-old now in a manner akin to Palhinha.

When the transfer market opens and Juventus considers their options, it will be interesting to watch if Andersen is lured away from Fulham and if he receives an offer from the Serie A powerhouses.

“Outstanding” Andersen has become key man at Fulham

It is hardly surprising that Andersen has adapted to life at Fulham so well considering how well he performed while on loan at Craven Cottage and Crystal Palace, where previous boss Roy Hodgson praised him.

“I thought Joachim Andersen was the outstanding player today in our team and maybe the outstanding player on the pitch,” the former Palace manager told reporters via the York Press following a draw against Brentford last season.

“I thought he was a giant today; he won every header on both ends of the pitch and, in my opinion, every battle he faced. He was a leader who propelled the team ahead.

    Fulham striker Raul Jimenez

“He wasn’t afraid to come more than midway into the opponent’s half as we saw and he was playing balls and spraying it around from about 25 yards from goal and that was a great responsibility that he took there.”

After such a successful run in the Premier League, Andersen might feel that a move to a European team of Juventus’ calibre is long overdue. However, Silva is unlikely to feel the same way, considering how crucial he has become, starting six of nine games before their impending west London derby with the Bees.
