Andy Halliday names what Rangers did better vs Hearts but what surprised him

Andy Halliday names what Rangers did better vs Hearts, what surprised him and what isn’t acceptable

Rangers may have benefited greatly from the international break.

Their current winning streak indicates that they haven’t slipped further behind their opponents, but their performances haven’t been outstanding.

After some downtime, Philippe Clement and his team will work out on the training pitch.

And all eyes will be on Dundee United at home as the international players return.

In order to gain some momentum before the derby on January 2, it is hoped that the victories will begin to seem more credible.

Halliday on Rangers display vs Hearts

Another game where Rangers won without submitting a vintage display was Hearts.

Two commentators have already clashed over it; one believed that the Gers performed “really well” in the first half, while the other thought otherwise.

Andy Halliday, a former player for both teams, was observing with curiosity.

He agreed with some people’s claims that Hearts had some excellent stretches in the game, but he didn’t think it was a terrific game overall because both teams made mistakes.

However, he also maintains that each time the Light Blues advanced, they appeared to be scoring.

“I actually thought they played better stuff at times, but then the final ball just broke down all the time,” he stated in an interview with Open Goal. And to be fair? Everyone had the same heart.

It was riddled with mistakes. There were a lot of turnovers, I thought. However, I do agree that there were moments during the game when I thought Hearts had greater control in the second half.

However, Rangers on the counter did appear to have a chance to score each time, but the last pass simply failed.

When asked if he believes Rangers should attempt to play on the counter at home, he adamantly responded, “No, I don’t.” Despite their impressive performance in Europe this week, the way the game went won’t make anyone stop doubting Clement, will it?

In the league, St Johnstone, Hearts, and Hibs are ranked 10, 11, and 12. They were defeated by Rangers 1-0, 1-0, 2-0. At the very least, Hibs and Hearts could have easily drawn, and the St Johnstone match was also very rough.

“So they’re not really getting it in the games where you feel Clement needs a performance and a result.”Eleven hours prior

However, Macmillan is calm about the whole thing and maintains that the Scottish Premiership team will deal with its wonderkid midfielder day by day.

Kyrk Macmillan told Sky Sports that he believes Lennon Miller has performed exceptionally well since joining the first team.

He has, of course, been the team’s captain for the past few games. He also did it for the semi-final (against Rangers) at Hampden.

In the end, I believe it comes down to Lennon’s development, and we want him to remain at Motherwell for as long as possible.

It’s amazing to watch him every Saturday; he thrill fans and makes people eager to interact with him and his football career.

“Lennon might eventually say, ‘I want to

But in the end, we, as a football team, make his time at Motherwell as successful as possible.

“I hope it will be the same for players in the future as it was for Lennon.”

    Macmillan on Rangers target ‘conversations’

Due his connections to teams like Rangers, Kyrk Macmillan has also been discussing possible transfer interest in Lennon Miller.

However, the chairman of Motherwell was unwilling to divulge any information about the adolescent’s future.

Macmillan’s insistence that there haven’t been any “confirmed conversations” regarding Lennon Miller’s availability thus far demonstrates a strong “cross that bridge when it comes” attitude.

“In the end, it is our model,” Macmillan stated. “The team has performed well in the past with that.

Regarding letting go of younger players and being able to generate a sizable income for the football team.

We’ll see what transpires with Lennon Miller, though. As of yet, no talks have been confirmed.

However, we’ll wait and see what transpires, and we’ll have the proper discussions then.
