West Ham United gem Kamarai Swyer sends ‘Wonderful’ message to Julen Lopetegui after what he did

After not being called up to the senior West Ham team since November 2022, Kamarai Swyer will be hoping to be getting closer to that goal.

In the final 13 minutes of the Hammers’ 3-0 Europa Conference League victory over FCSB of Romania, the 21-year-old offensive midfielder made his debut under David Moyes.

But since then, he has refrained from playing for the senior team in favour of honing his skills with the Under-21s at the London Stadium.

The talented forward scored a “wonderful” goal in a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United on Friday, September 20, so Julen Lopetegui will still need to keep a watch on him [Official website].

Even if the team doesn’t have much room for extra offensive talent with players like Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, and Lucas Paqueta, the new manager will find it difficult to overlook this gifted gem.

With 78 appearances for the U21s, the 21-year-old has tallied 16 goals and 10 assists, proving he is deserving of a legitimate shot at starting for the senior squad.

The fact why Divin Mubama chose to join Manchester City instead of signing a new contract is precisely because London Stadium supporters are not used to seeing youth prospects promoted to the first squad.

Naturally, the enthusiastic supporters of the Hammers [ExWHUEmployee] would be overjoyed by the latest news of Ollie Scarles’ four-year contract, and it would be even better if Swyer was called up.

Fans at the London Stadium need something to cheer about after the team’s 3-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday, September 21. One possible thing to focus on is developing the next generation of players.
