Gary Neville mocks Jamie Carragher for saying the ‘worst’ thing he’s ever heard about Nottingham Forest
Big-hitting clubs in the Premier League are taking notice of Nottingham Forest.
Forest has 28 points after 16 games of the season, which is just four less than the total for the whole 2023–2024 season. This puts them in fourth place in the Premier League standings.

When asked recently about the victory over Liverpool, Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White praised it, highlighting some extremely strong performances this season.
Nuno Espirito Santo was recently lauded by Jamie Redknapp, and their opinion of the football team has changed as a result.
Commentators have retracted their preseason forecasts at this time.
Robbie Earle admitted that he previously believed Forest will lose this season, but Gary Lineker has since changed his opinion.
These two weren’t the only ones, though.
Gary Neville mocks Jamie Carragher after pre-season Forest prediction
It seems like Neville and Carragher would be more comfortable at a comedy club than discussing football at times.
The two frequently joke around, which can perhaps be a bit much in a society where people want accurate analysis.
Nevertheless, they both had incredible playing careers, and occasionally a lot of common sense is shown when the teasing stops and football is discussed.
That is, until it comes to discussing Forest.
Carragher did, in fact, predict that Forest would be demoted, but Neville couldn’t help but make fun of his colleague pundit when he went over the two forecasts again.
The following is the outcome of a discussion on The Overlap US:
Carra, do you believe Forest will stay up now? Neville
“I believe they may have a chance,” said Carragher.
Neville: “Although I would have claimed that Forest was also on the hunt for destruction, I’m not taking this personally, but it is likely turning out to be the worst prediction ever. It isn’t real.
Carragher made to eat his words on Forest
Carragher hinted that the team would eventually fall through the trap door because Forest had spent so much time, as he put it, ‘circling the plug hole’.
Rather, the club’s recruitment was disregarded, and now the commentators may have wished they had done a little more investigation.
Of course, these two aren’t the only commentators who have been made to appear somewhat stupid, and it’s likely that they won’t be the last before the season ends.
As the season progresses, ideally, Forest may continue to upset some people by proving them incorrect.
