Monaco interested in Spartak Moscow’s star player

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – MARCH 26: On March 26, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, Manfred Ugalde #9 of Costa Rica manages the ball during the first half of the international friendly game versus Argentina at United Airlines Field in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

In January, AS Monaco announced that they were looking to add a striker to their roster. Manager Adi Hütter has stated that Folarin Balogun will not be returning until April after undergoing shoulder surgery after suffering a dislocation at the beginning of October.

In January, Monaco would actively search the market for a successor, most likely on loan, Hütter stated. Although a move for Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint-Germain has been suggested, he is by no means an inexpensive alternative, and PSG is not seeking a straightforward loan agreement given the Premier League’s keen interest.

Manfred Ugalde states that another target has recently surfaced (Mohamed Toubache-Ter). At the beginning of 2024, the Costa Rican international arrived at Spartak Moscow from FC Twente. He has scored 15 goals in 18 league outings so far this season. Monaco is evaluating the striker’s potential transfer in an effort to provide Breel Embolo and George Ilenikhena more competition.
