‘Good qualities’ – Stoke City player hailed by Mark Robins after Cardiff City FA Cup clash

Domestic CompetitionFC Stoke CityMark Robins praises a Stoke City player for having “good qualities” following their FA Cup match against Cardiff City.

Mark Robins, the manager of Stoke City, has predicted that newcomer Favour Fawunmi will have a “bright future” in the sport and stated he possesses “good qualities.”

The winger was acquired by Stoke City from West Ham last week. He then made his first-team debut for SCFC against Cardiff City over the weekend.

In the fourth round of the FA Cup, the Potters drew 3-3 with a fellow Championship team at the Bet365 Stadium. Lewis Koumas scored twice, while Lewis Baker also scored. On penalties, though, they were defeated.

In his post-match remarks, Robins praised Fawunmi and stated, according to StokeOnTrentLive: “A young player sometimes comes in and shows no fear and has a real go and he certainly did that.” He demonstrated his excellent talents, including having very wonderful feet and a good touch. At just eighteen, he is still learning the game, but his future is bright.

We needed something like that to give us that spark, to try to take the game to an opponent rather than let them dictate to us, so it was terrific that we were able to get him registered and ready to go after seeing him in the game on Tuesday and getting his signature on Friday morning.

Fawunmi was signed by Stoke City as a future player.

After progressing through West Ham’s academy, the 18-year-old was a consistent member of the Premier League team at several different young levels.

The Hammers signed Fawunmi to a short-term contract after his scholarship expired.

The London team offered him an extension earlier this winter, but he turned it down.

Stoke City was able to entice him to the Football League as a result, and he will now be aiming for more playing time under Robins.

    What now for Stoke City?

Being eliminated from the FA Cup will be a disappointment for the Potters.

They play Bristol City away at Ashton Gate on Wednesday night to get back into action.

Robins’ team defeated Hull City 2-1 at the MKM Stadium in their most recent league match with to goals from Andy Moran and Ali Al-Hamadi.

Stoke City is currently four points above the drop zone in 18th place in the standings.
