Manor Solomon defended by Villarreal legend after Sevilla fans chant at Tottenham star over Israel support

Solomon scored the winner for Villarreal

One Tottenham player is seen as a contentious figure in Spain.

Following criticism from supporters for supporting Israel’s war on Palestine, a Villarreal legend has praised Manor Solomon for being composed. On the day of the deadline, Solomon joined Villarreal on a season-long loan, and he is already making an impression.

On Tuesday night, the Yellow Submarine defeated Sevilla on the road thanks to a late goal from the forward who came off the bench. It keeps up the Castellon club’s strong start; they are currently in third place.

However, Solomon’s social media statements endorsing his nation’s activities in Palestine have made him unpopular to many Spanish citizens. He recently shared a fake image of a gun-wielding Arabic jihadist in front of a baby. “Where were your eyes on October 7?” was the caption for the picture.

Although screenshots of the photographs may be found on social media and were uploaded to his Instagram account, we will not include them in this report because of their violent content. In recent weeks and months, Solomon has also shared further pro-war photos.

People in Spain are generally against the war in Gaza; some streets have anti-war graffiti, while others have banners that read, “It’s not a war, it’s a genocide,” hanging from their terraces.

“History will judge us, and it will be harsh on those who committed this barbarity and those who said nothing or looked the other way,” Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez told the UN General Assembly this week, demonstrating Spain’s growing support for Palestine.

As for the multinational flotilla attempting to transport aid to Gaza, Sanchez has acknowledged that he has dispatched a warship to guard it. The flotilla was attacked by drones off the coast of Greece and included nationals from 45 different nations, including Spain.

Sanchez stated: “The Spanish government is adamant that international law be upheld and that our citizens’ right to travel across the Mediterranean in safety be respected.” In case it becomes essential to help the flotilla and conduct a rescue operation, we will send a naval vessel from Cartagena tomorrow equipped with all the resources required.”

    Sevilla fans chant at Solomon

Some Sevilla supporters expressed their displeasure with Solomon for endorsing his nation’s offensive during the match against Villarreal. “Israel murders” was screamed in Spanish by fans as he stepped off the bench.

The game-winning goal was eventually scored by Solomon, and Villarreal veteran Marcos Senna commended him for maintaining his concentration.

“He has demonstrated that he is a highly charismatic individual who is preoccupied with himself rather than non-football-related subjects,” Senna informed Marca. He has assisted us for the second straight game. He assisted the other day and now scored a goal. He will undoubtedly provide us with much more. On Saturday, Solomon and Villarreal play their first game back at home against Athletic Club.
