Roma and Ajax agree terms for Rensch transfer at 4-5m

Devyne Rensch of AFC Ajax takes part in the UEFA Champions League group A match between AFC Ajax and SSC Napoli at Johan Cruyff Arena on October 4, 2022, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Several rumors claim that Roma and Ajax have agreed to pay €4-5 million for Devyne Rensch, a full-back.

The athlete had previously accepted the terms of the personal contract and given his approval for the transfer to Stadio Olimpico. They needed to close the transaction quickly to prevent him from becoming a free agent at the end of this season because his current contract with Ajax is scheduled to expire in June 2025.

Roma secure Rensch for January reinforcement

BACKA TOPOLA, SERBIA – AUGUST 01: On August 01, 2024, in Backa Topola, Serbia, Collins Sichenje (L) of Vojvodina and Devyne Rensch (R) of Ajax played during the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Second Qualifying Round between FK Vojvodina and FC Ajax at TSC Arena.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, Corriere dello Sport, and others, the two teams have reportedly reached an agreement on a €4-5 million deal.

It is unlikely that Rensch will be included in the team for this weekend’s game against Heerenveen because he is so close to moving to Roma.

Coach Claudio Ranieri and director of sport Florent Ghisolfi were alerted to the right-back’s versatility by the fact that he can also play on the left.

Rensch has participated in 25 games for Ajax this season, scoring one goal and dishing out one assist.
