Plymouth Argyle eye Ukraine international after defender deal falls through

According to Sky Sports, Maxym Tavolyerov, a Ukrainian center-back for LASK, has drawn interest from Plymouth Argyle.

Due to their terrible start to the season, Plymouth Argyle is currently at the bottom of the Championship. Even after firing Wayne Rooney last month, PAFC’s fortunes haven’t improved.

Iron Muslic’s team lost its best defender, Lewis Gibson, to Preston North End, a team in the Championship, at the beginning of the month. Since Brendan Galloway was also ruled out for the season, the Pilgrims have been on a desperate search for a successor.

Maxym Tavolyerov, a center-back for LASK and a Ukraine international, is now the focus of their interest.

Plymouth is considering a move for the defender before the month is out, according to Sky Sports.

This follows the failure of a deal to sign Mike Eerdhuijzen, a defender for Sparta Rotterdam, this week. Eerdhuijzen expressed concerns about PAFC’s current situation, as relegation to League One appears to be imminent.

Given that they have made a healthy profit from the sale of Gibson and that more players are expected to go, Plymouth Argyle does not appear to be struggling financially.

Morgan Whittaker of Plymouth Argyle is scheduled to depart this week after reaching an agreement with Middlesbrough. The PAFC’s chances of surviving this season would be severely damaged by the sale of Gibson.

The Teessiders’ interest in Bali Mumba, however, could strike those dreams yet another setback. Even though Argyle would be making a lot of money to reinvest, it will be far more difficult to sell them to players of the caliber they require.

Whether Tavolyerov will adopt Eerdhuijzen’s position is uncertain. PAFC may be in serious difficulty if he does, though, and they lose Whittaker and Mumba.

    What next for Argyle?

In an attempt to recover from their devastating loss to Burnley earlier in the week, Plymouth Argyle travels to Sunderland.

Following a 5-0 home loss, you would want to visit the Stadium of Light. Having won nine of their 13 games at the Stadium of Light, the Black Cats have an undefeated home record for the season.

West Brom, who aren’t playing well themselves, will be the next opponent for PAFC. In order to have any hope of surviving this season, Plymouth Argyle must begin accumulating more points at home. They may view the matchup with the Baggies as a favorable opportunity to do so.
