‘Discussions Already Happening’ – West Ham now set for full takeover,

West Ham set for full takeover with ‘discussions already happening’ – Keith Wyness

West Ham is probably going to be fully acquired by a new investor soon, according to former Everton executive Keith Wyness.

In an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old, who ran a football consultancy advising elite clubs after serving as CEO of Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009, stated he wouldn’t be shocked if “discussions are already happening” about a new ownership team taking over at the London Stadium.

Wyness had stated to Football Insider last week (September 27) that West Ham’s management is aggressively looking to make additional investments.

Currently, the Gold Family, Albert “Tripp” Smith, David Sullivan, and Daniel Kretinsky are the club’s four main owners.

After finishing tenth in the previous season and winning the Europa Conference League in 2023 under David Moyes, West Ham is currently having trouble under new manager Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham could be bought by ‘completely new’ investors, says Wyness

Wyness stated on Football Insider’s Insider Track podcast: “I believe a whole new ownership group is going to take over at West Ham.”

    “

There will probably be a takeover by someone who buys out every shareholder.

“That transaction, in my opinion, is the next big one to go at London Stadium.

“If those kinds of conversations are already taking place, I wouldn’t be shocked.”

Daniel Kretinsky, a Czech billionaire, purchased a 27% share in the London Stadium in 2021. He has the option to acquire complete control, but he hasn’t yet used it.

Concurrently, Vanessa Gold, the co-chair of Irons, declared in October 2023 that she would think about selling a portion of her family’s ownership stake in the team.
