Plymouth players overheard making nine-word comment to Wayne Rooney that speaks volumes
The referee fired Plymouth Argyle manager Wayne Rooney on Saturday for dissent after Rooney became quite loud over what appeared to be a foul on one of his players prior to Blackburn Rovers’ equaliser.
The players for Plymouth Argyle showed off the playful side of manager Wayne Rooney when they insisted that he pay a “fine”.
The 38-year-old was sent off by the referee during Plymouth’s 2-1 victory against Blackburn Rovers over the weekend because he insisted that one of his players had been fouled before to Blackburn’s equaliser in the 86th minute. Rooney wasn’t too happy when Joe Rankin-Costello scored in the dying minutes to negate Michael Obafemi’s goal from the 15th minute.
When it comes to losing money for bookable offences, it appears that Rooney and his team are no different from one another. Many clubs have fine systems in place for when players miss practices or are sent off during a game.

The players’ playful jabs at their manager highlight the cordial relationship that may exist between Rooney and his team and highlight the close bond that exists between them.
It’s obvious that Rooney is well-liked by his teammates, but they also have enough chemistry to occasionally poke fun at him.
Rooney will take a few days off with his victorious team over the international break before starting his preparations for the away trip to Cardiff City, who is now in last place, on October 19.
