    ‘I know I will’ – Preston North End £800k man has clear aim after Stoke City as West Brom await

    Stefan Thordarson, a midfielder for Preston North End, is very confident in his ability to perform if he can get a number of starts.

    During the summer transfer window, the Iceland international was acquired by the Lilywhites from Silkeborg IF, a Danish Superliga team. The 26-year-old Thordarson reportedly cost £800,000, and his playing time has fluctuated during his Deepdale career.

    Thordarson, who was a mainstay in the lineup early in the season, has recently had to make do with a bench spot, making seven league starts and six substitute appearances.

    “You know what?” Thordarson asked. “I’ve been discussing this with many of my pals. We can move up to 10th place in the league if we win one or two games. Therefore, at this moment, it doesn’t really mean much to me. However, we must go acquire those points. We need to make more clean sheets, but this one was good. That will occur.

    North End did not want to be in 19th place as a team at this point in the season. As an avid learner of the game, however, the Icelandic has shown interest in the remainder of the Championship. He is aware of the areas in which PNE needs to develop and is currently just focused on the future.

    “Yeah, what do you know?” Thordarson replied. “I’ve discussed this with a lot of my pals. If we win one or two games in the league, we go up to tenth place. Therefore, it doesn’t mean much to me at the moment. We must, however, go and obtain those points. It was a good clean sheet; we should make more. It will happen.
