Cardiff City interim Omer Riza has his say on Coventry City’s Frank Lampard ‘bounce’

In their 2-2 draw with Coventry City, Omer Riza was not pleased with the penalty that was given against his team.
After Frank Lampard grabbed control of the game, the Bluebirds gained the lead twice.
However, Cardiff’s interim boss chose not to focus on having to face a side potentially buoyed by a managerial change, instead he questioned referee James Bell’s decision to penalise Calum Chambers for hand-ball.
After the tourists had passed through Yakou Meite, Ephron Mason-Clark stopped them. Victor Torp converted the penalty kick to give Lampard a point after they had reclaimed the lead by Alex Robertson in the 48th minute and had maintained it for 40 minutes.
In my opinion, there was no punishment. “I think I’ve looked it over,” he said to PA. When it comes to the referees, I’m not really willing to talk about their decision because I have to respect their choice.
I don’t consider whether Frank will be hired, whether their supporters will support them, or whether their players will bounce back.
Since many of them are seasoned players, I believe they all knew about that without my telling them. For us, it was about carrying out our duties and attempting to get back on track, and I believe we did that pretty effectively today.
“I think we earned a lead in the second half and could have won, but we got the point, and I think we have to be somewhat satisfied with that.” The first half was challenging.
Lampard, for his part, enjoyed a few aspects about the game, but not the goals his team gave up. “To score and receive a free header in the set-piece, I was obviously disappointed, but it can happen.” Although it is unpleasant, it is possible.
“I think I was more disappointed after the second goal since I let a shot go in and failed to block it with my complete body and full force.
However, I’m happy that we’ve made our point, so I don’t want to err on the side of negativity. I am familiar with this league.
