On Wednesday night, West Bromwich Albion will play Coventry City, led by Frank Lampard, at the Hawthorns to begin their Championship campaign.

This article will identify the senior official who will officiate the match, together with his assistants and the fourth official. The game is set to begin at 8 p.m.

In the meantime, Coventry won 1-0 against Millwall after a fierce battle. Throughout the match, the Sky Blues controlled the ball, and Ephron Mason-Clark scored the game’s lone goal.

The last time the two teams played one other, West Brom won 2-1. The Baggies led 2-0 before halftime thanks to goals from Mikey Johnston and Grady Diangana. Coventry rallied in the second half thanks to a penalty from Haji Wright, but they were unable to prevent a loss.

Referees for West Brom vs Coventry City

Experienced official John Busby has been selected as the senior referee to officiate Wednesday’s match between West Brom and Coventry. This season, the Oxfordshire native has overseen 13 games across all competitions, giving out two red cards and 47 yellow cards.

He has officiated a West Brom match this season; in October, he was selected as the official for their 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers. He gave one yellow card to each side of that team.

Mark Russell and Carl Fitch-Jackson will serve as the game’s linesmen and Busby’s assistants; Anthony Backhouse will be selected as the fourth official.
