BARCELONA, SPAIN – JANUARY 17: On January 17, 2025, in Barcelona, Spain, while Real Valladolid CF and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona play in La Liga EA Sports at RCDE Stadium, Raul Moro of Real Valladolid CF is wounded and taken off the field on a stretcher.
Ajax and Celtic have bad news: Real Valladolid winger Raúl Moro has sustained a major injury that could prevent a move this month. When Valladolid lost to Espanyol 2-1 on Friday night, the 22-year-old shattered his clavicle and needed surgery.
Moro could miss two to three months of play, according to Voetbal International. The Spanish star had already negotiated personal terms with Ajax, and Celtic, a team in the Scottish Premiership, had also shown interest in him.
The agreement with Ajax remains in effect as of right now, and the club has not decided whether to fully scrap the move or not. It has been stated that Raúl Moro is annoyed by how this injury happened. A transfer to the Johan Cruyff Arena is much desired by the young player, who hopes this setback won’t have any impact. The deal is now uncertain.
