‘It’s crazy’: Phil Foden stunned by ‘unbelievable’ player who has reportedly agreed terms to join Tottenham

Phil Foden stunned by ‘unbelievable’ player who has agreed personal terms to join Tottenham

One Tottenham Hotspur prospect has impressed Phil Foden with something he’s done.

Spurs have had a strong start to the transfer window. Before making a bid for Archie Grey, they signed Timo Werner again, this time on a loan. Officially, young Lucas Bergvall has also arrived.

But Tottenham isn’t quite done yet. Before the transfer market closes in August, they are anticipated to add a few more players, with the addition of a new striker perhaps on the horizon.

Foden, a star player for Manchester City, is one player who has recently pleased everyone and has been linked to Spurs.

Phil Foden amazed after seeing what Tottenham target Ivan Toney did

Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, has been strongly linked to a summer transfer to Tottenham.

As of right now, the Englishman is in the last year of his contract, and he has decided not to extend it with Brentford.

After England’s Euro 2024 campaign concludes, nothing will happen, but it’s highly likely that Toney will be moving soon after.

This summer, Ange Postecoglou needs a new striker, and rumours have it that Taylor has already agreed to terms on a move to Tottenham during this transfer window.

The striker would be a fantastic addition to Spurs due to his versatility and ability to score from penalty kicks, in addition to his many other qualities.

Toney scored in the shootout in England’s quarterfinal matchup with Switzerland in the 2024 European Championship. The fact that he struck the ball without even looking at it impressed a lot of people.

After being substituted out prior to the shootout, Foden expressed his amazement at such tactic and praised Toney profusely for his spot-kick.

“I think Ivan’s because it’s crazy, to be honest,” Foden said to talkSPORT when asked which penalty was his favourite. He produces the force required to score while never glancing at the ball.

“Yeah, I just think it’s crazy how he does that.”

How much Tottenham are prepared to pay for Toney

For some time now, Toney has been open to leaving Brentford.

Even though the England international had missed the first half of the season owing to a ban, large teams were still keeping an eye on him in January 2024.

At the time, Brentford was clearly unwilling to release him for a nominal cost, and it appears that they are still demanding a high price today.

According to reports, Tottenham is only willing to spend £45 million for Toney during this window, while the Bees are reportedly looking for £60 million.

Considering that Toney is rumoured to have already agreed to personal terms with Spurs, it is unclear if the two parties can come to an agreement about the fee.

Tottenham set to receive new offer for £26m player ‘in the next few hours’

With the beginning of their preseason activities and the completion of transfer transaction, Tottenham Hotspur’s summer is officially underway.

Over the weekend, Ange Postecoglou’s players made their way back to north London to begin work in anticipation of the upcoming campaign.

With the intriguing recruitment of Archie Grey and the return of Timo Werner on loan, Spurs have already added two players this summer.

Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, has had a busy summer so far. He has approved several departures from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Furthermore, it appears that there may be more exits to come, since the Lilywhites anticipate receiving a new bid within the next several hours.

Tottenham prepared to receive fresh bid in coming hours

With the signing of Grey during the summer transfer window, Spurs have already given Postecoglou some defensive cover.

The 18-year-old was signed as a midfielder, but while at Leeds United, he demonstrated his ability to play right back.

Joe Rodon left after Spurs agreed to sign Grey from the Yorkshire side, and this is the result of that.

After just one week, Spurs may be about to lose yet another defender to injury.

AC Milan is expected to make another approach for Emerson Royal, reportedly in the neighbourhood of €15 million (£12.5 million), according to Tuttomercato.

The Brazilian right-back has been the subject of ongoing talks between the two teams, but negotiations have come to a standstill over price.

According to the source, Milan made an earlier bid of about €12 million (£10 million) for the 25-year-old, who Spurs acquired from Barcelona for a total of £26 million in 2021.

It is asserted, although, that the anticipated fresh offer ought to quicken the defender negotiations.

Daniel Levy sanctioning fresh start at Tottenham

Early in the summer transfer season, Spurs have made a number of notable alterations.

Spurs have been unable to sell some of their unwanted players for years, therefore they have been compelled to hang onto them.

Tanguy Ndombele is the best illustration of this, as his contract in North London was terminated this summer, one year before it was set to expire.

Although Levy has suffered a great financial loss in the process, it does indicate that the chairman of the Spurs is making an effort to give Postecoglou what he wants for the start of the new season.

Now, all Spurs supporters can hope for is that more new faces will walk through the doors.
