Best of the Bees

At Gtech Community Stadium, entertainment seems to be a given these days. In addition to having the best home record in the league (five victories and a draw), Brentford has scored 29 goals in those six games. This indicates that the average number of goals scored in these games is 4.83.

Gameweek 11’s meeting against Bournemouth featured five goals.On his comeback from injury, Yoane Wissa (£6.1m) maintained his outstanding play by scoring two goals and earning all three bonus points. Wissa has the highest minutes-per-goal ratio (80.9) of any Premier League player who has been included in at least one lineup.

In Gameweek 11, Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) helped Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.0m) score his near-post goal, marking his eighth attacking comeback of the season.

Even though he can’t continue to score in every home game, Mbeumo is still productive and is held by 43% of all FPL managers.

The Spotlight

Vitaly Janelt (£4.9m) set up the winner, Wissa, with some brilliant play. In fact, Janelt has scored one goal and provided three assists in her last five appearances. The midfielder recently set up goals against Wolves and Ipswich and scored against Fulham.

Janelt has had three attempts inside the penalty area and two shots on goal since Gameweek 7. Furthermore, he not only leads the club in six significant opportunities generated, but he also outperforms every other player in the game save Matheus Cunha (£6.8m).

Owned by just 0.6% of managers, Janelt is a huge differential that could reap rewards because he’s about to face the team’s placed 15th and 16th in the table.

 

Best of the Rest

Wolves recorded their season’s first victory and clean sheet in gameweek 11. Cunha’s 12-point haul—which included his goal, assist, and all three extra points—justified his recent spike in popularity.

Finally, FPL managers who stuck with Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) received their reward. The midfielder finished with 17 points after his goal and two assists against Leicester. He became the player with the highest score throughout Gameweek as a result.

João Pedro (£5.4m) made a cameo off the bench during his injury comeback to help Brighton defeat previous season’s champions Manchester City by scoring 11 points and guaranteeing three points. The Brazilian forward will be very desirable for Brighton’s successful run of forthcoming games.

In Demand

Alexander Isak (£8.5m) is one of the five most-bought players of this international break, along with Fernandes, Cunha, and Wissa. The Newcastle striker, who hosts West Ham on Monday night, has scored in four straight games in all competitions.

Due to a hamstring issue, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.0m) was substituted in the 25th minute, preventing him from earning clean sheet points. He is among the most transferred out players, as his situation for Gameweek 12 is unknown.

Dominican Solanke is another well-liked sale (£7.7m). The attacker will play Man City in Gameweek 12 after failing to make it back at home against Ipswich.

Captaincy

Erling Haaland (£15.2m) continues to lose ground on Mohamed Salah (£12.9m), as the Egyptian scored more goals than his opponent for the sixth straight league game.

Due to Salah’s trip to Southampton, who are now in last place, this will also be reflected in the captaincy stats for the week.

Cole Palmer is another high-end candidate (£10.9m). The top Premier League player from the previous season is also going to a promoted team, in this case Leicester, which is the old team of current manager Enzo Maresca.

But in the game, Palmer is flagged. He can be seen in Chelsea’s practice pictures. He’ll make a fantastic armband shout if he fits.
